From the squalid refugee camps of South Beirut to a grimy human smuggling den on the Texas / Mexico border then on to Panama and its canal, The Orphan Portfolio trilogy begins with Cooper Duval in pursuit of Farouq bin Faisal, the Hezbollah Chief of Intelligence and Operations, as he stalks him throughout Latin America. Cooper Duval has one professional mission: to kill him. It is also his personal obsession.

Bin Faisal also known and feared as the “Orphan” is the lone survivor of his family in the wake of the carnage of the Shatilah refugee camp massacre during which three thousand refugees were murdered by a Christian militia. His overwhelming, unquenchable hatred was embodied as he uttered an Orphan’s curse under his breath as he was led from the camp as he swore, “There will be Hell to pay.” He is the mastermind and perpetrator of terrorism, mayhem and slaughter throughout the world

Cooper Duval is a hybrid product of a one night stand between a Cambridge modern language professor and a US Air Force fighter jock. A dual national, both British and American, Duval fought in Iraq as a Special Operations aviator in the 160th SOAR (Special Operations Aviation Regiment) “Night Stalkers” until a medically grounding wound. Duval was then recruited and turned to duties in the CIA as a Special Activities Division operator.

Fraught with fascinating characters you will ascertain to love or loath. A treasure worth depositing in the “Think Tanks” of the World. – K. Lutz

An Orphan’s Judas

Set in Rio de Janeiro, “An Orphan’s Judas”, the second installment of the trilogy, throws Cooper Duval into an international crisis with US Congressmen’s lives on the line and imminent peril hovering above the favelas and streets of a very dangerous city. His confrontations aren’t confined to his ongoing struggle to eliminate the Orphan, but with the gangs and drug cartels as well. The Orphan and Hezbollah “buy” the kidnapped American dignitaries from the gang which abducted them and holds them hostage for both political and monetary gain. He ultimately finds betrayal, loses love and continues on the trail of the Orphan.

An Orphan’s Ferryman

The last installment of the trilogy, “An Orphan’s Ferryman” takes place in Bangkok and several other loci throughout Asia. Cooper Duval operates in hostile geography amid perilous threats which, although different organizations with different identities, have common cause. Among their commonalities is the destruction of Duval.
